New Beginnings

The new year is a time you gain perspective and begin To redirect your energy and time into things that are more beneficial and positive in our lives. Lots of people use the new year as a starting point for weight loss, relationships, money saving techniques. But the next thing you know it's March and your back to doing the same things you were doing before Jan 1st. Why!? Lack of preparation, focus and realistic goal setting. If you want the new year to be a mark of change, your mindset and habits needs to change before January 1 and you need to be committed to that change. The most important part of change is getting to know and understanding yourself. You guys know I always boast self love. I would always say it if it weren't true. When you truly love yourself no one can change that. Just like when you love a no good fuck boy and you keep taking his ass back, despite what your friends and all his side chicks say. You love him lol. The difference is that self love feels great.

Rome wasn't built in a day. You don't lose ten pounds in a day. You don't gain a bigger butt by doing squats for one day. You don't build strong relationships at the first sight of someone attractive. These things take time and work. You have to change the way you think and do things to get different results. You have to really be real with yourself about a lot of things. Your relationships, your significant other, your weight goals, your financial goals all take time and hard work. You have to manipulate and change the way you eat, spend money, save money etc.

Set attainable goals for yourself. Yes, maybe you want to lose 100 pounds, but 100 pounds by January 31st?? No. or saving $1000 in two weeks? No. start with small goals. Maybe your ultimate goal is 100 pounds or $1000. Set small goals or stepping stones to get to your ultimate goal. Try getting to your ultimate goal ten pounds at a time or $100 at a time. Also, make sure you reward yourself for every small goal that you reach.

Lastly, stay focused. This, I think is the hardest part! There are so many distractions and temptations. Just remember you are in control of almost everything that happens to you.

So as we close this asshole of a year we call "2016" be ready to propel into the new year with a positive mind and spirit. I know that my trials and tribulations of 2016 are going to make me really appreciative all the new opportunities, people and experiences in 2017! See you on the other side 💋💋
